About us
1952 Foundation of the enterprise Mörgenthaler Cars by Josef Mörgenthaler Senior. In the one-man company in Bühlstraße 15 in Kicklingen all types of repair was carried out, from bicycles up to agricultural machinery. When a tracklaying and wheel-type loader company was added, the space was quickly undersized.
1968 For the ambitious enterprise a new garage with four lifting platforms and a sufficient outside area were built in Bühlstraße 16. Up to this time Josef Mörgenthaler Senior regularly employed a journeyman and a trainee.
1970 Josef Mörgenthaler Junior got his vehicle master’s diploma and joined the fatherly enterprise in the same year.
1980 Only ten years later when his father wanted to retire, Josef Mörgenthaler Junior took over the company and continued the business always with big success. Beside trainee and journeyman the wife, Maria Aloisia Mörgenthaler, stepped in the administrative-organizational area strengthening the enterprise.
1997 We became partners of Autofit. This is an association of free garages we work together until today.
2000 In the year of millennium, the present company was reconstructed: a spacious exhibition hall flooded with light and a big office for the management was established completely new.
2003 The second born son, Christoph Mörgenthaler, received his diploma to vehicle business economist in Calw.
2004 Twelve months later he passed his vehicle master’s diploma. Then he worked successfully as a salesman for various car brands in Munich and could thereby gain a lot of experience.
2011 son Christoph Mörgenthaler got into the father’s business and expanded vehicle sales successfully.
Start of the cooperation with the company Meneks AG for used car guarantees.
2012 Nathalie Mörgenthaler, Christoph Mörgenthaler’s wife, is now responsible for accounting in the company.
2013 Joined the Federal Association of Independent Motor Vehicle Dealers (BVfK)
2017 Since the senior Josef Mörgenthaler went into well-deserved retirement, the son Christoph Mörgenthaler took over the business including vehicle sales and workshop from this year on.
2021 25th anniversary of the Autofit partnership
